It was another successful year for the students of the Durban Hearing Impaired who graduated under the banner of the New Beginnings Training organisation. The students graduated with and FETC as well as Higher Certificates in Early Childhood Development, at the ceremony which took place with all necessary Covid-19 protocols in place. Patsy Pillay, director of the organisation said it was a particularly proud moment for the students who qualified for the ECD FET qualifications. These students have worked for many years in deaf schools but were not given the opportunity to study, yet they server as cultural role models for the children.
