As matters of health, safety and the environment are of core importance to SLG’s operations, we adhere to the applicable codes which relate to the safe operation of gas equipment, safe use of gas as an energy source and the minimising of the impact of SLG’s product on the environment.

Over and above the minimum requirements listed as one of SLG’s Gas Trading License Conditions, SLG also provides its customers with the following suite of safety services:

SAFETY TRAINING

SLG conducts safety training sessions with all its existing and new customers in order to ensure that customers have a clear understanding of the safety requirements for the operation of gas equipment. We conduct regular general

safety forums for members of industry and our customers to share general information and new developments. Customised safety training is also conducted at customers’ premises with all members of staff who work with gas systems.

SAFETY ASSESSMENTS

SLG has technical advisors that are registered with the South African Pipeline Gas Association (SAPGA). On request, these highly qualified specialists will assess the customers’ gas equipment for safety, highlight any shortcomings of the customer’s gas systems and recommend remedial action.
